EU-burgers die in Nederland wonen, mogen stemmen bij de verkiezingen voor het Europees Parlement. Dit geldt ook voor onderdanen van andere EU-lidstaten die hier wonen. Er zijn een paar belangrijke punten:
- Woonplaats: op de dag van de kandidaatstelling moet je officieel in Nederland wonen volgens de Basisregistratie Personen (BRP).
- Registratie: je moet je eenmalig laten registreren bij je gemeente met een Y-32 formulier.
- Uitsluiting: je mag niet uitgesloten zijn van kiesrecht, zowel in Nederland als in je eigen EU-lidstaat.

Non-Dutch residents who are EU citizens and live in the Netherlands are allowed to vote in the European Parliament elections. This also applies to nationals of other EU member states residing here. Here are a few key points:
- Residence: on the day of candidacy, you must officially reside in the Netherlands according to the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP).
- Registration: you need to register once with your municipality using a Y-32 form.
- Eligibility: you must not be excluded from voting rights, either in the Netherlands or in your own EU member state.
